DANCE FITNESS:

Ballroom Dance

Whether you're an individual wanting to learn Ballroom as a hobby, a couple desiring to learn to dance for that 'First Dance' at your Wedding, or a couple just wanting to freshen up dance skills and have fun, this class will be a hit for everyone!  You can attend with or without a partner in this user-friendly Ballroom class!   Ballroom, Swing, Waltz, & Latin styles taught by a talented & professional Teacher.  Ballroom shoes or fitness shoes can be worn.

Basic Burlesque  (NEW CLASS COMING SOON!)

Classic Burlesque moves & techniques from the glamorous 1940s and 1950s.  You'll learn the Burlesque walk, posture & stance, basic hip movements, & beautiful arms.  We'll also use props such as the Boa, Feather Fan, and the Chair dance.  Retro makeup, jewelry, and costuming will also be covered in this hour.   This class is about having fun and exploring the hidden 'you'!   Perfect for Women of all ages & all sizes, but must be 21 to attend class.  What to wear/bring:  fitness clothes, low-high heels.  (INFO)

Bellydance 101 (All current Bellydance Classes)

Intro moves for Bellydancing include warmup, stretching, strengthening, isolations, hip circles & shimmies.  An "ALL-OVER" body workout!  Non-to-Low-impact, perfect for any dancer.  Egyptian Cabaret, American Cabaret, and Gypsy Bellydance styles taught. Bellydance Booty-Camp (SUMMER 2010 WORKSHOP COMING SOON!!)

Bellydance Booty-camp is a double whammy of a class! This 2 hour class takes a little from Bellydance, Yoga, Body Bars, Bands, Cords, & Balls and blends them together to give you an energetic, efficient, & fun workout that gets your 'Booty' in shape fast!  Performed in the Boot-camp style of 3-to-3 ratio, consisting of 3 minutes of fat burning cardio drills and 3 minutes of strengthening moves, all done with a little Bellydance flavor! No Bellydance experience needed!  Done once a month on a Saturday, this class will need reservations, as the class fills up fast! (Only 25 attendees permitted)

Mom & Me Bellydance (ages 4up) (Summer Session Coming Soon!)

A fun class for Moms & Daughters to attend together!  This class introduces young ones to fitness by teaching Basic Bellydance skills & History in a fun & friendly atmosphere.  A perfect way for Moms & Daughters, Aunts & Nieces, Cousins and Friends to workout together and enjoy each other's company.  Ages 4 and up, must be accompanied by Parent or Legal Guardian.

Clogging (COMING SOON!)

A low-impact workout, this Linedance style of class will teach you the fundementals of Clogging, done to Country & Modern dance music.  Needed: fitness shoes, Clogging-taps optional.  (Tap-covers must be on must be worn on shoes).  Click here for more information on Clogging.

Zumba

DITCH THE WORKOUT!  JOIN THE PARTY!!

Latin-base dance fitness workout that is so much fun to do, that you don't even know that you're 'working out'! Exotic rhythms and choreography using Cumbia, Salsa, Merrengue, Cha Cha, and even Bellydance moves to move you and groove you to a better body and higher fitness level!  (more info)

YOGA :

Gentle Yoga

A slower-paced Yoga class that is good for beginners as well as those not feeling up to more physically challenging classes for any reason.  Focus is on getting into the body, grounding, and bringing acceptance to wherever students are in their practice.  Students are encouraged to quiet the mind, find the breath, and enjoy the moment that is spent on just themselves.  Needed: Yoga mat, blanket, & 2 pillows (optional).  (Yoga Mats are available for purchasing in the studio's Boutique)

Yoga 2

A class that intergrates various Yoga styles and fuses them together into a unique Yoga approach. Yoga techniques includes Kundalini, Iyengar, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga asanas and methods. You will practice both classical and creatively-adapted sun salutations, standing and seated postures, balance poses, backbends, inversions, while focusing on movement, alignment, and the yogic breath. This class challenges strength & balance, improves flexibility, and will leave you feeling energetic and rejuvenated.  All levels welcome with variations and modifications shown. Needed: Yoga mat, blanket, & 2 pillows (optional).  (Yoga Mats are available for purchasing in the studio's Boutique)

PM Yoga

A perfect way to end the day!  A slower-paced Yoga class to de-stress, calm, and revive tired bodies and minds.  Gentle poses, stretches, and breathwork.  All levels welcomed.  Needed: Yoga mat, blanket, & 2 pillows (optional).  (Yoga Mats are available for purchasing in the studio's Boutique)

Power Yoga

This class is characterized by perfoming a series of Yoga Poses without stopping and accompanied by the breath in order to flow from one pose to another (Vinyasas), offering a full-body workout.  Some Vinyasa poses are held for a short time, while other poses are held up to 5 breaths for more strengthening.   While this class is a demanding workout, it can be modified to adjust for various fitness levels.  Please bring a Yoga mat, towel, water bottle.   (Mats are available for purchase in the Boutique)

Yoga Mama & Karma Kid  (Daddy welcomed too!)  

(SUMMER SESSION JUNE 5th to AUGUST 14th . . . Ongoing Class, Join Anytime...Register Now!)

A Yoga class designed just for parents and their small children to attend together this Summer!  Kid-friendly poses will inspire, delight, and relax everyone in class, while gentle strengthening and stretching poses help muscles become healthier!  For Parents & Kids 4 years and younger.  Saturdays @ 12:00pm (45 minutes). . . Summer Session runs from June 5th to August 14th, 12 Classes total.   $7 per class, kids FREE!  (Discount Class Passes available :  5 for $30 or 10 for $60)   Needed for class:  Yoga Mat, blanket, & pillow (optional).

Fitness & Yoga designed specifically for Pregnancy & After.  This class offers a wonderful way to keep in peak shape as labor & childbirth gets closer, while also serving as a foundation to begin yoga soon after you give birth.  The stretching and strengthening will lessen the aches and pains due to added weight and your shifting center of gravity. The strength building and added flexibility, obtained by holding various yoga postures, tones muscles, improves posture, and helps you to maintain a sense of control as your body changes.  Yoga helps to relieve stress and tension by training your body to relax, which can be very helpful during labor. The focus on breathing, an integral part of yoga, is both energizing and relaxing and can be applied in many different contexts, from simple stress management to breathing during child birth.  New Mama can bring infant to class (up to 3 months of age).  An Ob/Gyn's letter of approval must be obtained before attending class.  Supplies Needed: Yoga mat, 1 blanket, 2 bed pillows.  (Prenatal Yoga Info)

CARDIO/STRENGTHENING FITNESS:

Bootcamp

A hardcore, basic-training type of workout that combines and challenges strength and cardio fitness in one class. With the use of the Step & Bodybars, Resistant Bands & Cords, Power Yoga Poses, & Plyometrics, this class uses the Interval Training Method of the 2 to 2 ratio; 2 minutes of Cardio moves to 2 minutes of Strengthening & Conditioning.  This class will definitely work it and get you in shape fast! 60 minutes. All levels welcome with variations and modifications shown.

WORKSHOP:  Xtreme Bootcamp (12-15 Stations) (WORKSHOP CLASS will be posted soon!)

A hardcore, basic-training type of workout similar to Xtreme Fitness, but this one has 20 stations, done for 1-2 minutes each!  Combines and challenges strength and cardio fitness in one class, never a dull moment!  Each station alternates Cardio and Strength, using the Step, Mini-Tramp, Bodybars, Weights, Resistant Bands & Cords, Power Yoga Poses, & Plyometrics. This class is considered an Intermediate to Advanced class, but can be modified to a Beginner level if you'd like to try it out!  (Beginners: Please speak to the instructor prior to taking this class.)

Bodacious Booty (Coming Soon!)

50 Minutes of Glutes, Butts, Booties, & Bums. "Change your BUTT, change your BODY".  Lots of squats, plies, lunges, lifts, wall sits, booty blasters, butt burners...you name it, we do it...all for a gorgeous backside!  What to bring: Yoga or fitness mat, towel.

Guts & Butts Bootcamp (NOW A WEEKLY CLASS!)

This class is for the student serious about getting the Core, Glutes, and Legs in shape fast!  30 Minutes of PURE ABS followed by 30 Minutes of PURE GLUTES.  Using the TOYS:  Fitness Balls, Body Bars, Cords, & Bands.  (Needed: Yoga or Fitness Mat, towel)

Sit-2B-Fit (Senior Fitness) Begins in July or August...Register Now!

This class is specially designed for the Golden Years to maintain health, boost energy, and improve confidence.  Seated exercises allow the student to work with resistance bands & cords, light weights, and fitness balls, while improving their strength, balance, & flexibility.  Please check with Physician before attending class.  Special discounted class prices for Senior Citizens taking this class: $5 Drop-In OR 5 Classes for $20.00 ($15 Savings off Regular Class Pass).   Needed for class:  A pair of 1lb to 3lbs Dumb-bells, towel, water bottle.  Yoga mat optional.   MORE INFO
