Born & raised in Brookville, and a 1989 Grad of Brookville High, Merrilyn enjoys life here in Brookville.  Known for her energy and enthusiasm, she has danced with Miss Margaret's Dance Studio for the past 24 years and also coaches Brookville's Pee Wee Cheerleading Team! 

With an Associate’s Degree in Para medicine/Certified Medical Assistant from Sinclair Community College, she worked as a Paramedic/Firefighter with our local Fire Depts. for over 20 years.  Upon receiving her BS in Healthcare Education, she now works as the Health Care Education Director and school Nurse for ISUS in Dayton, OH.  She'll receive her RN this fall, while working hard to attain her Masters, graduating at Wright State University in Spring of 2011.  

Her hobbies include attending Yoga, gardening, studying Holistic Health, and riding with her husband, Todd, on their Harley motorcycle.  To top all of this off, she & Todd have 5 children and love to spend quality time with family activities & sports.

Merrilyn received her Zumba Instructor Certification in Nov. 2009, and enjoys teaching Zumba at the studio.  Recently, she has trained for and now teaches early morning Bootcamp classes, too! ( @ 5am for the Earlybirds! )
